This is for a research paper, so if you could pleassseeee put your source... When I mean Asian...I don't mean Asian as in like...Asian American...I mean Asian as in they still live in China/ Laos/ Vietnam/India/ whatever. It doesn't matter how much of Asia...I need an out of whack satistic as an attention getter. I am asian, but I couldn't find anything on the internet... Please help... 10 points! don't give me a BS answer like 'uhh...alot' cause you won't get your 10 points then, I'll just delete my question. Thanks you :)

Viet Nam has been putting a lot of effort into getting electricity to the remote parts of the country. I first went to northern Viet Nam 11 years ago and at that time I was visiting remote villages along the Chinese border - they HAD electricity, they got little hydraulic generators from China that they would stick in small spill ways, and there was enough electricity for a lightbulb or two. I recently spent 4 years in VN, and everywhere I went there were electrical grids - I didn't see a single small generator like I had seen in my earlier visit. There are places without electricity, and they are probably still relying on the Chinese generators, but VN is trying its best to get everyone electricity, road access, and other basics.
