Which of these great socialist nations would you like to live in?
List of current communist states Showing states who currently declare themselves to be Marxist-Leninist. * People's Republic of China - (Zhōnghuá Rénmín Gònghéguó) (since October 1, 1949)[1] * Cuba - Republic of Cuba (República de Cuba) (since January 1, 1959) [2] * North Korea - Democratic People's Republic of Korea (Chosŏn Minjujuŭi Inmin Konghwaguk) (since September 9, 1948) [3] (see Constitution of North Korea). * Laos - Lao People's Democratic Republic. (Sathalanalat Paxathipatai Paxaxon Lao) (since December 2, 1975)[citation needed] * Vietnam - Socialist Republic of Vietnam (Cộng hòa Xã hội Chủ nghĩa Việt Nam) (officially in unified Vietnam since July 2, 1976, but in the north since 1954) [4] These are countries whose constitutions make references to socialism, but do not subscribe to Marxist-Leninist ideology. As such, they represent a wide variety of different interpretations of the term socialism. Countries such as Egypt and Libya, for example, have adopted different versions of Arab socialism as their ideology at some point in their history. Tanzania, on the other hand, adopted African socialism as their official doctrine. # Bangladesh - People's Republic of Bangladesh (since 16 December 1971) (Gônoprojatontri Bangladesh) (see Constitution of Bangladesh) # Egypt - Arab Republic of Egypt (Gumhūriyyet Maṣr el-ʿArabiyyah) (since 11 September 1971) (see Constitution of Egypt) # India - Republic of India (since 2 November 1976) (see Constitution of India) # Libya - Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya (Al-Jamāhīriyyah al-ʿArabiyyah al-Lībiyyah aš-Šaʿbiyyah al-Ištirākiyyah al-ʿUẓmā) (since 1 September 1969) # Sri Lanka Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka (since 7 September 1978) (see Constitution of Sri Lanka) # Syria - Syrian Arab Republic (Al-Jumhūriyyah al-ʿArabiyyah as-Sūriyyah) (since 1973) (see Constitution of Syria) # Tanzania - United Republic

You think socialism and communism are the same thing, do you?

You forgot the USSA in that list. How many more people have to die as a result of the gov programs that are already in existance? Constitutional law must be restored!

I'll stay in this one, the US. It sucks too many taxes for fairy tale dream scams. I wouldn't want even more delusional policies in those countries, if they are like I imagine.

US works for me.

Not a one of them thank you! But it appears that we have a president who feels that the Constitution is wrong and that he is the one to rectify ALL the wrongs about the US. The FIRST president to bow to another ruler. Sad!!! And to make such a serious guffaw in Japan. WOW!!! Do the people around him want to make him appear to be a fool??
7 :
None of them whatsoever.

I have been to China three times already and planning to visit in this year too. Though these are strictly my business related tours, I would say that if you ever been to China then your perception would change. Don't assume Chinese for those you would see them pre-Deng Xiao Peng era, meaning till 1970s end. China is much better place to live and study than many of our 'democracies'. Bangladesh is no-where near to "socialism", though our founding fathers had tall wish to have that kind of system installed here in 1972 when the constitution of Bangladesh was being framed. There were never a socialism in Bangladesh nor there i any understanding of how socialism works. Ours has been a dictatorial democracy till 1975 which was replaced by Military dictatorship till 1991 when civilian government came to power after long suffering under the last dictator General Hussein Muhammad Ershad, who is still currying favor from the present government, though he was sentenced by court and served for about 6-years jail term. Now to answer your question, I would love to live in modern day China, and in Shanghai in particular.
