You can get the visas at the embassies or consulates of the countries you mentioned in the UK. You can also get them at embassies or consulates in other countries as well. For example, it's easy enough to get a China visa at the Chinese Embassy in Bangkok, but you will need to leave your passport for a few days or pay extra for an expedited visa. As a UK passport holder, you do not need a visa for Thailand for stays of 30 days or less if you enter Thailand through an international airport. You will only receive 15 days if you enter through a land border. A visa on arrival is easy to obtain when entering Laos, either through an airport or land border. Check the websites of the embassies in the UK of the countries you plan to visit, they will have all the information you need. Here's a couple of them: http://www.thaiembassyuk.org.uk/newversion/index.php http://www.chinese-embassy.org.uk/eng/

If you're staying in Thailand for less than 30 days and traveling by plane, then you won't need a visa for that. Otherwise I would recommend contacting your nearest Chinese/Thai/Indian/Lao embassy. I would highly recommend traveling by plane to these countries mainly because border rules on the land can get pretty strict. Here are some air fare prices: Economy - Around 950 USD (sorry, the travel website only shows in USD) Business - Around 1978 USD First - Around 2304 USD ~These fares are from London Heathrow to your destination. Each fare is shown as one round trip from LHR to one of these countries.
