An illegal alien wouldn't make it through the TSA even if they did manage to get a ticket. They have to have the proper ID and a passport. haha, I laughed when I saw 10 points for best answer, well obviously!! haha

They do have criminal checks and they well know that you overstayed you visa or were in the country illegally however you are leaving so who cares however your passport number and name well be on the no re-entry list If you apply for a visa to the U S they well not issue one for ten years

Whenever I've visited the US, there's a part of the entry form (I've been under the visa waiver scheme) you have to hand in when you leave. I'd call that exit control of sorts, mind you I've no idea what they do if you don't have it. Once I couldn't find anyone to give it to and left it at the boarding gate. Never had problems re-entering so they don't seem to take it that seriously.

Well, since its an international flight, they will need to see proper ID and passport. They will be looking for entry stamp and if you are on the no fly list (yes they check everyone...including Americans). If there is no evidence of your entry into the country, they MAY (depends on your nationality and validity of your documents), pull you aside for further questioning. One wrong answer and ICE and the FBI may be chatting with you very shortly. If none of that happens, you will still have a hell of a time trying to get back in. Question is, what kind of passport would he have? No matter what happens, you will be flagged by TSA, DHS, FBI and possibly NCTC.

I think the answer is: How could you leave the U.S. for a foreign destination without a U.S. visa.

You would have to have your passport and appropriate papers to board the flight. Without that you would never get past the boarding desk. So seems they do have exit controls. As always, you are still looking for ways to break the law.
