Is monogamy invented by people

Is monogamy invented by people?
What is actually the real nature of human ? I'm a born European and can't accept monogamy from my heart, love is something universal to eventually share with more then just one. My both girlfriends (in Laos and Philippines) won't appreciated it very much when I tell them, or when I even suggest to go live together. In many cultures it's just normal when he has more then one wife, mostly not even a topic to talk about, then why for many girls of other cultures it's really unthinkable ? Is monogamy (like that other strange thing called 'marriage') invented by people ?

There are other monogamous animals, you know. And then there are more than six billion people on the Earth. Maybe we're not all one thing or another. It seems like most people are monogamous, or at least try to be. If you aren't, or don't want to, you'll probably be happiest finding someone else who isn't monogamously-minded as well. Good luck with that.

There are many monogamous animals, but I think you want to know if monogamy is an inherent trait in humans. For the most part history tells us that humans are almost Always monogamous, but many philosophers have questioned it. Also, scientific research is finding out things about how male bodies for instance are possibly made for thwarting competitors sexually. For instance, males have multiple types of sperm. Some of them kill other sperm (for instance if another male had sex with a guy's mate, his sperm would kill theirs if they mated a short time later). there is also "blocker" sperm that helps the first male who mated protect his sperm from the latter's "killer" sperm by building up dams to stop it. Research also shows that men produce more sperm when their mate has been gone from them for multiple days.. this is done involuntarily. This is all true and it indicates we have evolved to keep our "seed" from being thwarted by other competitors and that we may not be "naturally" monogamous. Although, monogamy is for me personally.

Invented by women and weak men

With monogamous animal pairings, it's most often in species where there's not a great deal of differences between the genders. In short but genders pretty much look alike. In humans the slow development of babies required a great deal of resources, time and effort from the mother. Having a male around helped ensure species survival. Our year round sexual drive tended to keep males around. The more females a male had the less resources he could provide to each one. Ask your self "why" the ladies wouldn't go for you group living idea.

Monogamy or exclusive bonding or sexual pairing? These are not the same. Genetic studies are currently gathering data which seems to show that in many animals thought to have exclusive sexual pairing in fact do not. The same is true for humans. Even in cultures where the penalty for adultery is death, the activity still takes place. Monogamy is a human invention. It is not found in all cultures. Other forms of "permanent social bonding" including one male with multiple females, one female with multiple males and even groups of males and females have all been accepted at different times and locations. Many societies currently have a monogamous marriage custom and that seems to be a great driving force in these cultures. The fact that divorce and separations and adulterous relationships are all apparently on the rise should answer your question. If you are wanting to understand this complex issue, keep in mind that most humans have a difficult time dealing with the emotional content of their relationships. By just having a single strong relationship, they believe that they can help keep their emotional life in control.
