Hey guys, I'm 20 years old and am planning my first vacation on my own. I've had the fortune of being able to travel over South East Asia while I was living at home: Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Japan, China, Singapore, Malaysia and Jamaica as well. Its been a couple of years since I've been on a trip and I think it's time I take a little vacation again :) I've already traveled Asia so that's off the list... Europe's too expensive so that's off too... My father's from Mexico and I know a couple of people from Brazil and Peru, so I've decided this should be my next destination. While tourist spots are popular for a reason and I would like to see them, I would also like to go to places that not everybody knows about. I want to: visit local beaches eat great food party and rave with awesome people Do a little hiking and camping visit historic and cultural spots 'm thinking I might hit up Brazil, Peru and Argentina but I still need to do a bit of research... Where are the best places to visit in Latin/South America? Thanks :)

I think you should go to Peru. I am sure that it will fulfill your expectancies. In Lima u will have party, beaches and amazing food while Cusco will satisfy the cultural and historic part of ur vacations (it is one of the 7 wonders!). If you have enough time u can go to the jungle (Iquitos) for camping to live real experience with wild nature.

Peru has excellent places for hiking and camping...the Andes highland provides a lot of sites for that...As Peru it`s located on the coast of the Pacific ocean, there are so many wonderful beaches, some of them are calm water just for swimming...others are specifically for surfers because they have great waves! About food...Peru has one of the most delicious food in the world...all the ingredients are fresh and most of them organics...CEVICHE is the most famous (prepared with fish, Lemon, onion, chili, salt) and the PISCO SOUR is the favorite drink. Lima is a cosmopolitan city, so there are a lot of entertainment places and people are very friendly. Of course you can`t forget to visit ancient churches and houses built during the colony or the awesome MACHU PICCHU. Discover the magic Peru!

Colombia is a party country. Medellin is a greatttt party cityyy everythings there is a party lol plus its cheap compared to alot of places. they have amazing food beaches resorts on the coast theres soccer every wheree and therees amazing history everywheree

Ecuador for sure....it is awonderful place to go, it has alot of places to visit, the people are so nice and helpful, and they try to make you feel at home, and there is alot of beautiful places to visit, and the night life, the place to party are so beautiful not only the quality of the places but the people that go there too........the beaches are clean beautiful and surrounded by hot people......and for sure is alot safer and more beautil that honduras or peru. please listen to me I am sure you are gonna love it.

I would do Brazil or Argentina... Argentina was amazing, but I believe that Brazil would have so much more to see off the beaten path.
