I know some asian (80% vietnamese, rest are Laos or southeast asian) people in a small city school that gets so 'fascinated' by seeing a Korean person... why? I know A LOT of vietnamese people that are obsessed with everything Korean (music, fashion, hairstyles, etc) even some wanting to BE KOREAN. I am also vietnamese.....I live in a bigger town.. I see a lot of Koreans, Chinese, and Japanese at my school (WOW JAPANESE PEOPLE AT MY SCHOOL?? KAWAII DESU!!!) and I don't get what's so "fascinating" or the hype is about Korean people..? They're just like normal people. I live in a bigger town now......are vietnamese people ashamed of their culture or something?

I'm Asian and Koreans are just any other regular person to me. I see Koreans all the time. If I got excited every time I saw one, I would be in a perpetual state of shock.

Dude, I live in New York and Koreans are all over the place. Maybe it's because you live in a small town.

korean dramas i have some korean friends, and yes my other non korean friends got abit excited. i think they'll soon come to realize they're just regular people and not korean drama stars

^ yeah.....and don't forget about Korean music. same at my school. southeast Asians are so delusional when they see a Korean person. When they think of Korean people, "TAE YANG SNSD BOYS OVER FLOWERS SARANGHEYO" automatically comes up.

Because they listen and watch too much korean dramas and music. If and when Vietnam start exporting masses of dramas and music, the Koreans would do the same exact thing.

..What? ROFL. I'm Filipina, live in a city fuuull of probably every type of Asian and know not a single one like that. I mean, I have a friend who just likes the music, but that's it. We don't get excited seeing any sort of race lmao.
