no. you shouldn't have to. just worry about the title, make sure it gets signed and notorized. be absolutely sure you, or your POA designee, sends in the part of the title that is for transfers. this will protect you if someone doesn't title it correctly so that the liability does not come back on you. my dad sold a car once where the buyer did not title the car but wrecked it. the other insurance company tried to sue us as my dad was the last title holder of record. since dad had sent in the title transfer to the state, the case was dropped.
