I have heard that the Phillpiines are beautiful, but outside of Manila, there is a problem with crime(something my Filipino born and raised there told me). Has anyone here been there? I know southeast asia is also very beautiful too. I thought about going through Vietnem, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand by train from China(where I work and live now). Does anyone have any other suggestions? Is Taiwan or South Korea really nice as well? Malaysia maybe? Well I have heard about that from my friend who has been there too. He also said that the people there are friendly. Aside from shopping, what other reasons would I choose Taiwan? Does it have nice beaches? I might choose southeast asia or the Phillipines, but I'm torn between the two arghhh!

Taiwan hands down. Taipei city is like Shinjuku and Harajuku on a larger scale, except everything is 4 times cheaper and of equal quality

India is a lovely country to visit. Gorgeous weather and great historic buildings which are really beautiful to take pictures of. I haven't been there myself but I have heard that it is great. If you like more cultural things like their dancing and food, they're great to try as well!

Cambodia - Just beautiful. The people are friendly, the food is yummy and the scenery is just stunning. India - Awesome. Best food in the world! The people are lovely, it's so colourful and bright and the temples and incense and jasmine smells fill the streets. Love India!!! Vietnam - It's okay, bit too touristy, if you do go stay of the usual track which runs north to south and where most stops are just full of drunk or drugged up travellers. Thailand - Beautiful, but again, get off the beaten track. KL- Great city, and the rest of Malaysia is supposed to be wonderful

The Philippines really does have great beaches and very popular for its tropical climate and beautiful palm trees at the beach. Taiwan is also nice and lots of places go and things to do. As for beaches, I'm sure there are, but I haven't really known any or been to. South Korea is actually fascinating, lots shopping (kinda like a bigger version of Hong Kong) though much more expensive. Malaysia and Singapore are close to each other, basically neighbors. Malaysia is also nice, but I've only been for there for a few days, so I can't really say much, apart from trying out Durian fruit and Durian ice cream which is somewhat new to my tastebuds. Singapore is pretty awesome, they have the popular Sentosa beach, and the clubs are cool, nightlife there is so alive. I don't really know which country to recommend you, since I don't know what are you interested in. If you want relaxation, try the Philippine beaches. If you want sight-seeing trips, Taiwan might be good. Shopping goes to South Korea, take note though, quite expensive (for my budget at least). Singapore holds the nightlife, different culture and an added bonus of newly opened casino. But if I can choose one for myself, I'd prefer Thailand for the unique experience.

Korea! South Korea will surely bring you a new travel experience. The rich, unique culture will feel very different from what you are used to and you can really experience the history in a modern country. You can visit http://english.visitkorea.or.kr and you can find almost everything about Korea.
